|Description:||Provide oversight and management of the Father Engagement and Forever Fathers programs serving regions 9, 10 & 14. These programs work with fathers who have children connected with the Department of Child Services (DCS) working with fathers to engage them in the Child Welfare system enhancing their relationship and understanding of DCS, connecting with their children and improving their parenting abilities. Location: NACS East, 2855 N. Keystone Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46218.|
|Duties:||• Provide individual and group staff supervision • Conduct participant intake interviews for fathers seeking services, review and help to formulate Individual Service Plans, and collect demographic and other data for reporting purposes. • Collaboratively work with all agencies (school, probation, FSSA, etc) involved with child/family • Document activities via computerized program. • Develop, manage and maintain program budgets • Prepare and review monthly activity reports per state standards • Serve as a liaison to DCS to advocate for engaged fathers. • Attend and contribute to local Advisory Council to create a network of supportive services. • Attend court when appropriate. • Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other work groups as appropriate and required. • Work primarily Monday through Friday with flexible hours on evenings and weekends to meet staff and client needs. |
|Qualifications:||• Seeking qualified candidate who lives in or near Marion County. • Master's degree in social work or related field required • Experience in staff development and training • Experience in working with the criminal justice system, paternity and child support court/systems, and/or the child welfare system • 2 years supervisory experience in child welfare or social service agency is preferred. • A valid driver's license and insurance is required. • Experience/ability to respond appropriately to cultural differences in the community, staff, and clients is required • Good verbal and written communication skills are required • Experience in working with a team and setting goals with clients • Ability to utilize and communicate by email, text, cellular phone, computer, fax, copier, telephone, various other office machines. |
